Hello My Name Is...
I am a 6th grade Math and English Teacher at Minor Middle School. As I embark on my second year at Minor Middle School, I am proud to say that it is both an honor and privilege to teach within the Minor family. Throughout my travels as an Army wife, I was afforded the opportunity to teach in an array of grade levels. My experience includes teaching in grades 1st through 8th with the Department of Defense Dependent Schools. My travels have included living in some very impressive place, to include: Germany, Colorado, Georgia, and Alabama.
My husband, Artis and I are the proud parents of four adult children who live and have careers in various states. My philosophy of education has always been, "Every student is a learner and has great potential to learn given the appropriate opportunity." My philosophy correlates to the structure of the classroom learning community established at Minor Middle School. In this learning community, students work collaboratively with peers to solve problems, peer tutor, communicate, and become life-long learners.
Parents you are always welcome to come into the classroom to observe and/or assist. If you would like to schedule a conference or a meet and greet, I am free every day during my planning period: Monday-Friday 12:15 until 1:00 P.M.
