Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. ASHLEY SAXON-VON LINTEL
Remind: World History text @f3fga to 81010
Remind: Pre-AP World History text @kcb37 to 81010
I would like to introduce myself as your student’s World History teacher. Your child is very important to me. I have great hope and expectations for this school year. As teachers and parents, we have the opportunity to work together to help your child receive the best education possible. It is crucial that I am able to communicate with you. I am much better with email than phone calls.
I have high expectations in academics and discipline. I hope I have your support in these endeavors. It is crucial that your student have their materials with them every day, follow the dress code, the code of conduct, and attend school. Missing valuable class time for any reason should be avoided as much as possible.
I will be having your student use their agenda book (or a small notebook) to write down their assignments for the week so they can learn to plan. I ask that parents sign their agenda. It is also a means for us to communicate.
I will be sending home weekly emails letting you know what we are doing in class, important school information, and our class weekly agenda. Please make sure I have your email address. I am also looking into Remind so I can send text messages.
I up-date INOW on a weekly basis. Please make sure you and your student have the username and password to access INOW. If you do not, please contact the front office. Teachers do not have INOW information. You can see exactly how your student is doing in all the courses.
I have attached a student information and parent contact information sheet. Please fill out it completely. If there is any information you can share that will help me better teach your student, please let me know.
Your student will be given a username and password to access their World History textbook online. I will also be demonstrating what the online textbook has to offer in class. Students will be given the opportunity to browse the site. If you do not have internet access, please contact Mr. Oliver about having a textbook issued to keep at home.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. My email is email@example.com. My planning period is 6th period which is basically 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
